At AMSED 24/7 Pty Ltd we are committed to protecting your privacy as a customer and an online visitor to our website. We use the information we collect about you to maximize the services that we provide to you. We respect the privacy and confidentiality of the information provided by you and adhere to the Australian Privacy Principles and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Our commitment to your privacy  

We do not and will not sell or deal in Personal Information or any customer information. See more below under 'Sharing your information with third parties'.

If you are a member of AMSED 24/7, your employer has purchased a subscription for you. Note that your employer has access to any information stored on AMSED 24/7 including your ePortfolio and contact details. Your employer uses your information to track, monitor, record, and report on all of the services provided via AMSED 24/7.

Where your Employer has agreed to link your AMSED profile to your electronic Human Resource or other employee file, any information stored in AMSED 24/7 may be transmitted electronically to your employer records. Once transmitted, AMSED 24/7 has no responsibility for the Personal Information transmitted.

If you do not want to receive notifications from AMSED 24/7 you should discuss this with your employer as your employer has agreed to us sending you relevant notifications with respect to your learning.

Information we collect from you 

In the course of your visits to our website or use of our products and services, we may obtain the following information about you: name, company name, email address, telephone number, billing address, geographic location, IP address, survey responses, support queries, blog comments and social media handles (together called ‘Personal Information’).

Our services are not directed to persons under 18 and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a person under 18 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

We collect Personal Information that is reasonably necessary for the performance of our business functions and activities. If you choose not to provide certain information, we may be unable to provide our services to you.All of our marketing communications comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

Our services are not directed to persons under 18 and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you are the parent or guardian of a child and you believe they have provided us with Personal Information without your consent, then please contact us. 

How we use your information 

Personally Identifiable Information

We use the information we collect to deliver our services to you, including communicating with you, providing technical support, notifying you of updates and offers, sharing useful content, measuring your satisfaction with our services, diagnosing problems and providing you with a personalised website experience.

Marketing communications are only sent to you by AMSED 24/7 about services and updates we think you may be interested in or that relate to the services we provide. You can opt out of our marketing communications at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us and your request will be actioned at the earliest possible time.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information

We also use the information we collect in aggregated and anonymized forms to improve our services, including administering our website, producing reports and analytics, advertising our products and services, identifying user demands and assisting in meeting customer needs generally.

Any information you choose to make publicly available, such as blog comments and testimonials on our website, will be available for others to see. If you subsequently remove this information, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages on other websites or if others have copied or saved the information.

Sharing your information with third parties 

We do not and will not sell or deal in Personal Information or any customer information.

Your Personal Information details are only disclosed to third party suppliers when it is required by law, for goods or services which you have purchased, for payment processing or to protect our copyright, trademarks and other legal rights. To the extent that we do share your Personal Information with a service provider, we would only do so if that party has agreed to comply with our privacy standards as described in this privacy policy and in accordance with applicable law. Our contracts with third parties prohibit them from using any of your Personal Information for any purpose other than that for which it was shared.  

Storage and security of your information 

We will use all reasonable means to protect the confidentiality of your Personal Information while in our possession or control. All information we receive from you is stored on our secure, cloud-based servers located in Australia (AWS) and are protected from unauthorised use or access. We perform regular back-ups of all data. If you have used a credit card on our website, your credit card information is encrypted before transmission and is not stored by us on our servers.

We may disclose Personal Information to overseas service providers (such as cloud hosting, payment processors and analytics providers) located in countries including but not limited to United States and Singapore. 

We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your Personal Information in accordance with Australian privacy laws. However, in some circumstances, we may not be able to ensure that overseas recipients comply with the Australian Privacy Principles. 

We retain Personal Information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

If there is a breach of our security and your Personal Data is compromised, we will promptly notify you in compliance with Australian laws.

Disclosure of your information 

We may from time to time need to disclose certain information, which may include your Personal Information, to comply with a legal requirement, such as a law, regulation, court order, subpoena, warrant, in the course of a legal proceeding or in response to a law enforcement agency request. Also, we may use your Personal Information to protect the rights, property or safety of AMSED 24/7 Pty Ltd, our customers or third parties.

We also disclose information about you to your employer.

If there is a change of control in one of our businesses (whether by merger, sale, transfer of assets or otherwise) customer information, which may include your Personal Information, could be transferred to a purchaser under a confidentiality agreement. We would only disclose your Personal Information in good faith and where required by any of the above circumstances.

AMSED 24/7 actively monitors and updates our systems to ensure we maintain the security of systems. The systems used for our data security and risk management are consistent with all the applicable Australian Standards and Australian government standards and guidelines.

Change in privacy policy  

As we plan to ensure our privacy policy remains current, this policy is subject to change. Please return periodically to review our privacy policy. 

Changes to our Privacy Policy will not in any way operate to change the specific terms of any signed agreement with AMSED 24/7 Pty Ltd and a particular customer unless specifically agreed in writing.
